Egg Explosion

We were chatting away about life during mutual tonight as we waited for the eggs to cook before we decorated them. All of the sudden, a loud bursting sound came from the pan on the stove and foam rolled over the sides. On closer investigation we found that 9 out of 12 eggs had broken in the explosion!

We don't know what happened...maybe the water was too hot, maybe there was too much water, maybe some of the eggs broke as we put them in the pot.

Lucky for us, we had a spare dozen eggs in the fridge. So, we cleaned up and started over. Definitely an activity to remember.

That is crazy! Maybe they were boiling too hard. I'll have to be extra careful when I boil up 2 dozen eggs for my children to color this evening.
