After spending two days on Oahu we flew over to Kauai for the last five days of our vacation. What an amazingly beautiful island! I just have one word of advice for all those headed to Kauai: The best way to see the island is to experience it through activities like snorkeling, boating, hiking, flying, etc. Unfortunately, the small plane ride we planned around the island was canceled due to HEAVY rains that day. Too bad but we still had a lot of fun!
Opaekaa Falls
A beach somewhere in Southwest Kauai
Waimea Canyon
Kauai Coffee Plantation
Menehune Pond
the legend is that this was built by the Hawaiian leprechaun or menehune
A view from the Marriot Resort (not where we stayed-I wish)
Haena Beach - the end of the road
Sunrise from our hotel
Kapaa 2nd Ward
Spouting Horn
Kilauea Lighthouse - in the pouring rain
(this is what we did when our plane trip was canceled -- a beautiful substitute)
Wailua Falls - raindrops on the camera lens blurred the photo
